Fixing The CP508C Notice Problem
Howdy, Y’all!
Fixing The IRS CP508C Notice Problem. Tax Resolution Slinger Handles Seriously Delinquent Tax Liability.
My name is Ali Schneider, and I grew up on Long Island, in the suburbs of New York, far away from ranches, farm animals, cowboys, and horses.
The only horse I could ride was in front of the Lone Ranger restaurant, and it was mechanical. Quite the cowgirl I was!
During the 1940s -1950s and early 1960s, there were over 100 western series on tv and only three stations, ABC, CBS, and NBC, in black and white with rabbit ears, grating us a minimal selection to watch.
I am old enough to remember watching Gunsmoke, Maverick, Bonanza, The Lone Ranger, and several more. Think Michael Landon, James Garner, John Wayne, and Steve McQueen. I crushed on them!
Back in the day, the premise of westerns was to teach the good values of honesty and integrity, hard work, racial tolerance, determination to succeed, and justice for all.
They were the morality shows of the times where heroes were sturdy, reliable, clear-headed, and decent and fought their adversaries in the name of justice.
Fast forward to 2022,
And think Yellowstone, and I’m now crushing on hunky Cole Hauser and Kevin Costner (who I drooled over in Dancing with Wolves.) There are four spinoffs from Yellowstone. Evidently, westerns are popular again. YEAH!
Jeff and I have been binging on the show and cannot wait till it returns in the summer. Are you a fan?
Yellowstone has become a cultural phenom and has skillfully grabbed our imagination and woven together some essential lessons. First, keep your word and loyalty above all else. Living day to day isn’t living and killing the monsters where you find them.
Fast forward again to tax season 2023.
“When the misery is bad enough, tomorrow is rarely factored into decisions.” ~Monica (Yellowstone- the series)
So, don’t wait until you go to the mailbox and find mail from the Internal Revenue Service. Act today.
There are about 75 different IRS notices and letters you could receive via regular or certified mail. Some of which are benign like:
- You have a balance due.
- You are owed a larger or smaller refund.
- We have a question about your tax return.
- We need to verify your identity.
- We need additional information.
- We changed your return.
- We need to notify you of delays in processing your return.
Then, there is the IRS CP508C Notice
It does not come via pony express but by certified mail.
Receiving this notice would probably put fear in your heart. However, the IRS has recognized your tax liability as meeting the definition of “seriously delinquent” in Internal Revenue Code Section 7345, and A seriously delinquent tax obligation is an individual’s unpaid, legally enforceable federal tax liability totaling more than $55,000 (including interest and penalties) for which:
- Notice of federal tax lien has been filed, and all administrative remedies under Internal Revenue Code Section 6320 have lapsed or been exhausted, or
- Alevy has been issued.
As a result, the U.S. Department of State generally will not renew your passport or issue a new one to you after receiving this certification from the IRS. They may revoke or place limitations on your current passport. Bye-bye traveling abroad. ✈️
The big question about Fixing The CP508C Notice
What do I need to do to have this certification reversed?
Then the IRS will reverse the certification when:
- The tax liability is fully satisfied or becomes legally unenforceable.
- The tax liability is no longer seriously delinquent.
- The certification is erroneous.
And…
If you cannot pay the total amount 💰 you owe, here’s the best thing to do to get the certification reversed. The IRS CP508C Notice can be removed.
